My Dad: aka: My Inspiration

Happy Father's Day!
"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
1 Corinthians 15:58

My Dad! There are a lot of images that come to mind when I think about my father. A fisherman, father, cowboy, husband, son, elder, servant, reader, coach, Grandpa, organizer, landscaper, businessman, friend... the list goes on and on. But there are two images that usually weave together into one picture when I think about Dad; they are 'adventurer and hard worker.' If my Dad has taught me anything, it's that everything I do must be done with 110% effort. But in the midst of working hard, Dad's always had time for spontaneity and fun. I remember camping trips, wild boat rides, cruise adventures, and more. I feel blessed to say that when I think of God it's not too difficult to imagine what kind of Father he is to me because of my relationship with my Dad. I think God too, is wanting me to do my best for his honor and name. I also know that God is the author of adventure and exploration. Afterall, He designed this unbelievable universe and the intricate details of the human being.

Dad, thanks for loving me so tenderly all these years. Thanks for being my friend and inspiration. I know the miles are many between us, but the spirit is right next door. Let's keep working hard for our King and when you're ready to take a trip around the world for the next adventure, I'll be there!
I love you,
Tam

Ditto on Dad, couldn't have said it any better. I'll be there too, if of course I don't have anymore babies!
