On June 1st, we took a special trip down to Sevastopol for the Dolphin Show. Of course, with one of the caretaker's experience and magic she somehow coerced the cashier people to let us in for free! It normally costs $5.00 for kids and $10.00 for adults.
She also got us in for free to see the ruins on the coast and a free boat ride! We had a blast!
The kids all enjoyed themselves and we all got a little sun.
The only bad thing is that Dima and Tolya both got car sick several times and threw up. The roads here are awful and the van we hired forgot to install shocks or something, it was drastic.
In our class there are a few new kids and two of them were allowed to go on this trip with us.O One girl is a little older, her name is Vikka, and one little boy. His name is Sergei and is a bit squirrely, but very sweet. His sister had to stay back at the Orphanage with Vitya. :( Anyways, they absolutely loved it!
Last week I went up there to say goodbye to the kids, because they're leaving for camp for the whole summer!
They were already cleaning up / washing the walls and floor of the girl's new bedroom. Yes, finally the boys and girls will be split up! (it's about time!) Even though this is the 3rd grade, the kids are all different ages and way past puberty, so I'm relieved that they will be in different bedrooms. This summer I will be helping the caretakers fix up the room with curtains, pictures and a big rug. We're so excited for the girls!

How hard it must be to realize you will have to wait unti fall to see those kiddos! Did the sweet couple already adopt little Vitya?
Hope you are enjoying your visitors! Talk about traveling with no shocks in the van...try sitting in a plane for 15 hrs! ugh!It sounded like a hard trip over, but know they are so glad to be there! wish we could be too! mom
The trip looks like so much fun. I miss you and all the kids. Please give them my love if you see them again this summer at camp. love ya Tammy.
Tammy's not just HELLPING with the girls room---she' paying for it all and everything. I've got a WHOLE new perspective now that I've seen the orphanage and orphans in person. Tammy you are a precious saint!
