My sweet little Vitya. One day we walked to the park and he had been trying to give me a little bunch of flowers for several minutes before I finally figured it out. (He had been tapping me on the back, but it was so light I didn't feel it). He was acting so shy which is not like him at all! Then Matt said, "Tammy, somebody has something for you," and I looked down and my sweet little Vitya had been trying to give me his gift. Oh, what can I say. Vitya is in 2nd grade, loves life, and tries to do well in school. But, unfortunately, they say Vitya does not have much of a future. He is told over and over that he's a good kid for trying, but he'll never achieve; he'll never contribute much to society. I think he has potential. I think he can do whatever he wants. I think he just needs someone to believe in him. He just needs someone to bless him and not curse him. Little Vitya needs to know that he is as special and unique as his bouquet of flowers. I pray that in his mind's eye, he sees a confident little boy who has a special future. God give him courage to rise above his limited world. Grow his heart with your love. Bless my little Vitya. Give him strength to share his gift with the world.

I'll pray with you for him.
Tammy, you are so beautiful! Inside and out! I miss you. I'm so glad you are getting to do what you want to do! Thanks Heidi and April for sharing.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about those kids. I was glad to read that 2 of the girls from the half way house are near you. You will be a big factor in how they turn out. Will you ever know what happens to the others we met? I love you. Dad
So I just got on your blog for the first time. So great to SEE you! I am glad you are filling us in on your world. Keep up the good work and I'll keep praying and checking on you. I pray for you every week. We have your picture up on our missionary prayer wall. My kids tell people about what you do
What a blessed boy that little Vitya is. He gets to be in the presence of someone so full of Christ.
Glad you started a blog. I know you'll have tons more fun and interesting things to tell!
